"Favorite"..

Once a favorite..giving my heart only to run off with it and split.. Mature enough to admit I still care just a bit..to the common nights we made love when the candles were lit..never once thought.. from the carter's parking lot..ill be in this situation for love was never my motivation..To only now find myself seeking pass these upcoming temptations..

With the moonlight standing still
The wine glass half filled
I let my thoughts go
At there own will...
As every sip out the glass
Takes me closer to the past.. For the moment..
Cause feelings never last..

So pour another.. & when they ask questions. Ignore em don't bother..
Given em the cold shoulder..
& watch as everything is just a blur..

As the bottle stands low, shot's
Out of frustration.. Matching my ego
As the dinner light's burn slow..
Breathing in the moment,
For all we know
Most promises made today

So all I can do is Look back at the past once dated..To Now..
